Spring has Sprung!

I must say I’m happy with the way Spring has started for me! This week has been full of sunny, springy activities, and a pleasant family visit.
I planted this little herb garden this week, and I’m eagerly awaiting my oregano, cilantro, parsley, rosemary, basil, and thyme sprouts. I’ve never had a kitchen garden before and my cat is entirely too interested in it, so wish me luck!
I took my parents to the Spring conservatory display at the Bellagio, and WOW, what an amazing scent in that room, full to the brim with fragrant hyacinth and bright with tulips, one of my favorite flowers.
Yesterday we went on a scenic country drive, explored a cactus nursery, the Red Rock Canyon, and enjoyed the sunshine, a thoroughly lovely and tiring day!
With all that sunshine-related fun I am definitely ready to kick my winter blues goodbye! I’m almost done with my ongoing dental work, the weather is warm, and it’s time for short skirts and sandals again. Soon enough I’ll be in a bikini tasting food out of my new herb garden–I love it when it warms up outside! :)
